On the bright side... I finally tuned my boat/engine setup to a point where I am happy... i'm around 2.5 to 2.75 below pad. Yesterday morning (calm waters) I nearly did 72mph with a 200lb partner and I in boat. If I ride solo, I'm estimating 73-75mph top speed!
Hole-shot kicks arse too! Fine tuned my electronics too... loving everything now.
Next on my list is to repair some fiber class damages/scratches before winter... would love to have an 1197 on the console and put the 997si at the bow! Would be a dream come true!
Also... Rick and Will... how come a bunch of folks at tournies (including you guys perhaps) have super high rooster tails? Everyone.. even pro's always say your rooster tail should never be higher than the engine cowling (if tuned right obviously)... they say anything higher than engine cowling is just losing hp...
