I went to this party that my distant cousin had...they were giving him a npe laus, and it was Xiav Kau.  I'm not sure if that's how you spell it in Hmong, but it's suppose to pronouce like "psycho."  Everyone had a good laugh...but yeah...eek.

I agree, good one! I would have never thought of that name. It's harder to pick hmong names for boys, but I do like the koob tsheem and for girls...i like mine (ntxheeyees) ;) plus these, too...huab cua, huab si, suab nag, laim txias, kaj siab, xis hlub, and many more that were already listed.
