GVP was never even a millionaire, he sure wasn't the first Hmong millionaire. There are countless rich Hmong families before Jerry Yang, mostly business owners and high level executives. But congrats to this guy. He better disconnect his phone number and move out because everyone and their cousins are going to hitting him up for money with their sad sob stories. He's going to get so many cassette tapes in the mail from Laos/Thailand from distant relatives crying about how they need money. Don't ask me how I know...
its a curse, we leave then somehow we always find our way back whos this?

No he didn't. He lives in my hometown where my parents still live. This is what his older brother told my dad:The night before he won the lottery ticket he had a dream. His mom who had pass away; came in a dream and told him that she was going to take him to go look for a new house. So she was taking him to look at all these expensive home that he would never imagine to afford. And then all of a sudden some black people started to load some yellow bottles or something in his car. I'm thinking kind of like empty gas containers. So the next morning he went to fishing and he caught a lot of fish. He was afraid he would be over the limit on his fish and he remember his dream from the night before so he was thinking maybe it meant that if he kept all the fish he would get caught. So he called his wife to come pick up some of the fish. When his wife was on her way she stop by the gas station and she had bought a scratch off. When she got to the lake she actually told him she thought she only won $1.00 or something... and when he look at the ticket he told her that they didn't win just $1.00, but $1 million. Then they drove all the way to Raleigh that day to redeem it. Man.. who would've thought in a small town like Albemarle a Hmong family would win $1 million from scratch off lottery. I guess it goes to say anything is possible! Grr..and that'll only mean my mama will be buying more scratch offs.
