Funeral Songs Request...
« on: May 09, 2010, 07:04:35 PM »
I have been monitoring this room using my wife's nick, and I learn alot. Although I dont have a PH account, and does not wish to create one, I would like to make a request, inhoping someone in here can help.

Kuv xav kawm zaj nkauj lossis xivxaiv, uas yog txiv dablaug hais rau tej me tub me nyuam, thaum uas lawvniam tau tso lawv tseg...Qhov nod tshwmsim thaum lawv hais xim es txog txivdaglaug thib.

Tsis tas ntawv, kuv los kuj xav kawm zaj uas from muamphauj tog tuaj thiab...

Vim kuv paub tias muaj ib hnub twg yeej yuav txog kuv, thaum ntawv kuv xav tias cia kuv yog tus zaum kiag, thiab hais kiag xwb. Vim lawv sawvdaws los yeej yog kuv me tub me nyuam...

Yog leejtwg paub no ces thov qhia. Ua tsaug ntau ntau...

my dad is really big on these things. He's done many recordings and writtings of many types of funeral/txiv xaiv songs. He actually sang one a few weekends ago at one of our grandma's funeral. I'm not sure which/what role he was singing, but will see what I can get you.

Ua tsaug. I'm looking forward to it.

Also, I posted a Zajtshoob request as well, and if any of you in here know I would appreciate if you can share it.

Dude...  Take a 6 pack and two shot glasses and go sick down with a master and thov nws the Hmong way.  I can tell you how to thov ib tug xib fwb but not record you a txiv xaiv.

Qeej, Txiv Xaiv, Mej Koob REQUIRED a sibfwb. Don't try to learn it yourself, you will get insulted.  When was the last time you watched a txiv qeej play, Txiv xaiv, or mej koob who learned from the Internet?

I agree with Q to a certain extent.  If you REALLY want to learn, do it the right way, and find your master.  If you are just curious, I suppose a recording could be found on youtube.

If all it took was a 6 pack, two shot classes and requesting to be a student, that's CHEAP.  It use to cost SILVER and GOLD.  Now masters are just asking for students to respect.

Learning via University Youtube.   ;D ;D ;D

There are two things which cannot be attacked in front: ignorance and narrow-mindedness. They can only be shaken by the simple development of the contrary qualities. They will not bear discussion.  - Lord Acton
