Thank you Slude, you made my day by posting these.  Just trying to learn these is hard at a funeral because I lack the understanding of it.

someone & chuexiong- no need to thank. these are the 'gospels' of the hmong culture. they are free to anyone with the desire to learn about our culture. the words do not preach or promise of salvation or to follow a godly being but to only worship the ground that our parents walk on.

only if more people actually pay attention these songs, like those church goer who goes to church every sunday.....may be life will be better...

The true output is when you actually practice it.  When you do, and others dont it's very very hard. Trust me.

i'm re-listening again. every once a while, txiv xaiv is my reality when i'm too involved in my daily life and i forget to return home to mom's cooking and dad's lecturing.

word of advice, hug your mom and shake your dad's hand. when was the last time your remember the touch of your dad's hands or your mom's?

my dad passed april of last year, it'll be a year soon. how much i miss him, only he would know. i'd give 10-20 years of my life for him if i can see him one more time. if there's ever a next life time, i only ask to be your daughter again. you'll forever be in my heart. RIP

btw, it's beautiful of you to share these with us.  :)

O0 Thank you! Sometimes it hard to catch on exactly word from word what they are saying during the funeral bc everyone else is so loud.
