Green Bay Bar Fight Leads to Murder
« on: June 03, 2010, 06:01:23 PM »
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A Green Bay man was stabbed in the abdomen after a bar fight early Thursday. It happened in the 1200 block of Main Street around 1:42 a.m. Police say a preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim, 35-year-old Eric Vieau, was at the Cock and Bull tavern where a disturbance broke out with an undetermined number of people. Vieau eft the Cock and Bull Tavern and walked across the street Two suspects who were believed to be involved in the original disturbance followed him to the area behind Los Banditos Restaurant. One of the suspects had retrieved a large knife from a vehicle in a nearby lot and stabbed Vieau one time in the lower abdomen. He was taken to a local hospital.  The two suspects then fled through the parking lot toward the East River. Vieau has died, according to Brown County Medical Examiner Al Klimek.

The motive for the attack and what led up the disturbance is still being investigated. Lt. Jim Runge indicates the 2 suspects are Asian males, 23 or 24 years old, 5'6" to 5'7", about 160 pounds. One of them has short dark hair, the other longer dark hair. Police are also on the ookout for a black Acura.

Vieau's wife Jill released this statement to FOX 11: "We are devastated, shocked and saddened with the sudden loss of Eric. He was known and loved by so many people. Eric's family is requesting privacy as we grieve our loss." Anyone with information or who was there is asked to call Green Bay P.D. at (920) 432-7867.

If anyone (Asian males) been to a bar scene with drunken rednecks, you'll not feel too sorry for situations like this.

Why do you guys always blame the Hmong for any kind of crime? The article isn't clear whether the stabbers are Hmong. Let's not assume that too easily. It's giving the Hmong a bad name.

Hey just saying. GB has lots of Hmong people. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough who did it.

The mainstream media isn't even quick to blame the Hmong. It says "Asians." We should not be too quick to accept this negative image.

You know the true nature of red-necks will come out especially when they're drunk.  Don't let the media paint the victim as an innocent patron.  I'm sure he or his buddies somehow instigated the disturbance to begin with.

Advice to hmong drunks in GB, STAY OUT OF THE WHITE BARS FROM THIS POINT FOWARD!!  Else, you may be eventually on the news too..

heck..not just bars, but every other public hang out places.  Usually they taunt, mock, and talk smack about you.  Judging from the picture of the meka dude, he must have been a DOUCHEBAG to the asian dudes while in the bar.  Although stabbing and killing him is a little out of line.

Update...

Authorities said today they are looking for a second suspect, a 26-year-old man, in connection with Thursday's fatal stabbing of a man in a parking lot on Green Bay's east side

Investigators said Mao Tsetung Xiong was involved in the stabbing death of Eric Vieau, 35, of Green Bay, on Thursday. Xiong is believed to be in a black Acura or a gray Lexus. He is armed and dangerous, they said.

Xiong is believed to be the person who brought the knife to the fight at a parking lot in the 1200 block of Main Street on Green Bay’s east side, police said.

Police said anyone who sees Xiong should notify authorities with information about his location. People should not approach or confront him, they said. People who spot him should call (920) 448-3201 or 911.

On Thursday, police arrested a 23-year-old Howard man in connection with the incident, which was Green Bay's first murder of the year.

Aaron Lalbachan told authorities he was going to turn himself in, but did not. He was arrested on suspicion of being party to first-degree intentional homicide and was booked into the Brown County Jail at 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators received information about Lalbachan from witnesses at the scene of the stabbing. Witnesses told authorities which vehicle Lalbachan was driving. It was left at the scene.

Lalbachan also later contacted Green Bay police and initially told investigators he would turn himself in and talk to authorities, but he did not.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department eventually went to an address on Roland Lane in Howard and stopped Lalbachan’s car as he pulled into an apartment building, authorities said today. Lalbachan was taken into custody without incident.

Lalbachan told authorities he was at the scene of stabbing.

Holy shit I know who the hmong guy is. Ok I was too quick to judge but I was half right.  ;D  The hmong guy is a big baller in town.  So if he's involved, the white guy probably owed him some money for drugs. What a twist in the story. I thought he has people doing his dirty deeds for him? Guess this time the man himself had to.

Oh remember that hmong girl who was a uwgb student that "supposedly" drove her car into the Fox River and was found one week later a few years back? That's his sister. Word is that incident was no accident...you can figure out the rest. I think that case is still unsolved.

When someone dies people tell you stories about how good or great they were... WTF?  Everybody is good & great at some point in time, but on the day of death...maybe he or she was being an idiot.  UNLESS, they were innocent & just was at the wrong place @ the wrong time... I have no sympathy for them.

Wow maybe he killed him becuase he killed her sister?  That death of that girl did sound freakishly wierd.  Driving into a lake?  Whatever.  Killing him out of revenge I can see but over something else is kinda dumb.  Also hmongs stop needing to go to those bars and clubs anyways.  It's just asking for trouble. I remeber when they had that club in Neenah they shouldve supported it and made it a little safer and not ste or break into others cars there so they would have a place where hmongs could just hang out.  I also don't see the big attraction of having to go to a joint that's not Hmong.  Seems Hmong want to a avoid Hmong places but want to only go to white people places becuase appearantly if it's a white person place it's legit and it's real and it's no wannabe bar or club!
