COON RAPIDS, Minn. - A game of soccer turned into a 100-person brawl Saturday night in Coon Rapids.
Police got a 911 call about a riot at the Coon Rapids Soccer Complex shortly after 9 p.m. Officers from across the county responded to find dozens of people upset over how a soccer game ended.
The entire complex was rented out by private organizers who put together a Hmong family friendly sports tournament.
Witnesses say when one of the final games ended Saturday night people cleared the benches ad started fighting.
"They were throwing chairs and coolers, said Justin Loun, "it was nuts."
Coon Rapids police made two arrests. One man was arrested for giving false information to a police officer. Peter Ly of Newport was arrested for allegedly smashing the windows of a women's car.
No injuries were reported although police say most of the crowd left as police arrived.
The soccer and volleyball tournament continued Sunday as scheduled.
