whoa. ejected meant she wasn't wearing her seatbelt.  and happy to see that the child in the carseat only had "minor" injuries.

No I think it happened around 7-8pm, so it was still daylight out, and the old woman wasnt ejected all the way, she was only partially, makes me think she had a seat belt on.

this accident is just shocking to hear that the car lost control and airborne into hw99. is almost sound like suicidal but a horrible way to end.. Shocked thoughts and prayer goes to the families...... . Sad

Victims identified in Elk Grove double-fatal crash

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office has released the names of two people who were killed Sunday in an Elk Grove car crash.

Dead are Ying Yang, 44, who was driving the car, and Blia Moua, 80, a passenger. Both victims were from Sacramento.

Yang apparently lost control of his car, a Honda, which went off an embankment from eastbound Elk Grove Boulevard and landed on Highway 99, where it collided with a pickup truck in a southbound lane, Elk Grove police spokesman Christopher Trim said.

Trim said the Honda flipped and Moua was partially ejected from the passenger seat. A child in the pickup's passenger seat suffered minor injuries.

**Update**

From what I have gathered this is what I have. The 44 years old is a drugs addiction person. The drugs has already damage his brain that he ended up mentally ill but can still function well. His brother don't like him cause of the drugs he been diong. He is a very stress person so he said to his brother that someday he will drive nut and kill himself. So the mother was scared that his son may possible on a suicide mode so she tag along just to be safe. So I guess he did what he have wish and end up killing both. Must got pissed while with the mother. Heard that they went to pickup some medicine for the 44 years old guy and came home that eve. The funeral was some days ago? but heard that both body was so bad that they did not let noone see it. RIP people.
