Let's do some lateral thinking (though logic puzzles themselves are awesome too).

1. How many times can you subtract the number 2 from the number 32?

2. The rope ladder of a boat hangs over the side of the boat and just reaches the water. Its rungs are 8 inches apart. How many rungs will be under the water when the tide rises 4 feet?

3. How much dirt is in a round hole that is 9 feet deep with a diameter of 3 feet?

4.Train A and train B are crossing the country, from coast to coast, over 3,000 miles of railroad track. Train A is going from east to west at 80 miles per hour, and Train B is going from west to east at 90 miles per hour. Which train will be closer to the west coast when they meet?

5. A truck-driver was turning left into a one-way street the wrong way. Halfway down, he was seen by a policeman, who made no attempt to stop him. Why?

1. How many times can you subtract the number 2 from the number 32? one time

2. The rope ladder of a boat hangs over the side of the boat and just reaches the water. Its rungs are 8 inches apart. How many rungs will be under the water when the tide rises 4 feet? zero

3. How much dirt is in a round hole that is 9 feet deep with a diameter of 3 feet? zero

4.Train A and train B are crossing the country, from coast to coast, over 3,000 miles of railroad track. Train A is going from east to west at 80 miles per hour, and Train B is going from west to east at 90 miles per hour. Which train will be closer to the west coast when they meet? Train A

5. A truck-driver was turning left into a one-way street the wrong way. Halfway down, he was seen by a policeman, who made no attempt to stop him. Why?  Because he was only going one way.

...And now a word to my Hmong Republicans.  Are you sick and tired of poor people on welfare doing better than you?  Hey! I got some news for you.  If they're on welfare and they're doing better than you, you're amongst the poor and guess what? Mitt Romney doesn't care about you.

4.Train A and train B are crossing the country, from coast to coast, over 3,000 miles of railroad track. Train A is going from east to west at 80 miles per hour, and Train B is going from west to east at 90 miles per hour. Which train will be closer to the west coast when they meet? they are on the same track so no matter where they meet train B will be more west than train A.

5. A truck-driver was turning left into a one-way street the wrong way. Halfway down, he was seen by a policeman, who made no attempt to stop him. Why? he was walking

oh sorry, i didn't read it correctly.  Train A was going from east to west.  I'm from the west so naturally, i thought train was going from west to east.  In any case, it's the one gong from west to east since that's the one that's on the WEST to begin with so when they meet, it'll be on the west side.  Wink

That is, unless the section of the track where they meet happens to be a section that runs from north to south or south to north, then they'd be the same distance from the west coast when they kiss.  Could be the case if it had to go around a mountain side.  Wink
