if the coin is legit...

its 50/50... even if you were to flip 1 million times and they all landed on tails... the next coin flip still have a 50/50 chance...

"it would be pretty dumb if you flipped a coin 5 times and they all landed on tails... then youd flip a coin 4 times so it lands on tails... run up to a friend and say i bet you $100 the next coin flip will land on tails..." -someone else...

so what are you going to do?... flip a coin 100 times and let it be 50 heads and 49 tails... then bet someone that the next coin flip will be tails... good luck with that... or just start flipping coins so you get more heads than tails so you can go betting since youll know the outcome will be tails...

If I flipped a coin a million times and it all landed on tails.  I'd probably be able to make that bet because there's a possibility the coin's rigged.   ;D

the chance is slim that itll be all tails within a million flips... but its still possible with a legit coin...

Chances of flipping a fair coin (H/T) 4 tails in a row = .5^4 = 6.25%.

Chances of flipping a fair coin the 5th time in a row = 50% because each flip is INDEPENDENT since we didn't say tails in a row or heads in a row...otherwis e, it would be dependent and see below.

Chances of flipping a coin tails 5x in a row = .5^5 = 3.125%

If you can hit the powerball which has a 1 in 80,000,000 chances, you can hit about 24 tails in a row.   ;)

A person toss a coin 4 times in a row and all landed on tail. If he/she toss it the 5th times, what is it gonna be?? head or tail?

I thought it was the T-Test but it is not...It's actually the Bernoulli because of the binary nature of heads and tails...T-Test would be for variable data...What people force yourself to learn to learn about something else.

So what you guys are saying is that even though all of you saw a coin flip landed 4 times tail in a row right infront of you, half of you will bet "head" and half of you will bet "tail" because it's still a 50/50 chances? If this is the case, no wonder so many people lose money at the casino because they think, it's "odd" 4 times in a row now so let's bet "even" the next throw.. LOL
