Who created the rules, or laws anyway
« on: September 08, 2010, 08:09:06 PM »
I hate it how Hmong people have these stupid rules where you have to follow even though you're single, married or divorce. For example, one day one of SIL told my BIL to send her back to her family. He ask her why, and she said she no longer feel attracted towards him and feel she no longer needs him no more. He refuses. So she said to him, "if you can't send me back, you're a dog. Not a man". So being challenge by her, he took her back to her family and drop her off. While he comes back, he told his dad everything and his dad said he was stupid to send her back and now he wont have his $5,000 back. So, as of right now my FIL has to go to her house to ask for her back with my BIL. The SIL say no matter what so won't come back. This been going on for more than 10 times already asking her back. So my FIL got fed up and say why not just forget it. If she won't come back, just divorce the two of them and end it already. But the clan refuses. My FIL came home frustrated because the clan biatch at my FIL after what he said.

According the story, my thought is, "who created these dumb rules"?? Is it our ancestors? If it is, its STUPID. If a couple decides they no longer wanted each other, let it be over. What use will it make.

Ms. Vaj, you don't know Hmong rules or you have chosen to just degrade Hmong rules? You haven't told us how you find such rules stupid. I think you are just sick that your BIL got tied up in a situation that he mistakenly created. It all started from him just driving your SIL back to her parents, right?

In America, there are American laws.

If the Hmong didn't use our traditional rules, what would we be?

Not so ignorant? Not oppress others? Allow other to think freely? Not restrict our own kind? Allow younger confused (via cultural conflicts) to be happier? (though so are TOO free...ie gangs)

well spinning off of this topic, i don't like it when the elders tell couples whose marriage will not work and is not going to work anymore to keep on chugging at it and to have long livers.

1)your bil is a dog
2)the FIL is right
3)the clan is a dumb
4)if they're not happy with each other then divorce(that's if they don't have little kids)
5)if divorce (rauj kom tus taws) means no responsibility will come back to him and his clan family if she dies or what happened to her, it's her family's responsibility, the day she walks out of the family.

YOU SHOULD NEVER NEVER EVER SEND A WIFE BACK...

The only time you can do that is when you send your wife back in a casket. >:D

Nina Vaj,  you must be a freaking 10 year old girl who has not yet started your cycle.  If the couple you mentioned does not want the elders to get involve then don't F*&*(YUI*^*&SD^&*  ing get the elders involved from the beginning. They are both retards... and people who think like will all end up like them. Get married, sib ua a few years, ces sib nrauj.

Why can't stupid retards like you and the couple you mentioned just live to get, f*k, and mind your business and not get the OG's involve?   EXPLAIN YOURSELF STUPID....
