Aaargh. Stupid display driver!

Every now and then, my display driver ATI Radeon Family would stop responding! Hopefully, bf can fix it soon.

Everything is working fine 1 moment and the driver halts and then it reboots.

Yeah, my entire system reboots...I actually caught a quick glimpse of a box that said something like: Your display driver ATI Radeon Family stopped responding...y our computer is recovering.

I haven't tried another driver, but some updates were made to my laptop, so it has stopped doing that for the last week. Come this weekend, I won't need my laptop, so the bf will pull apart my laptop and see what he comes up with.

i've had display driver issues before

upgrading to the newest driver isn't always what one should do

i'm still using the driver that came with my motherboard, it's more stable than the newest release, even though it's like 3 years old now

anyways, update us if the problem is fixed after this weekend

After making a backup of all of my files and after upgrading the driver and taking my laptop apart and blowing out all the dust inside, my laptop is officially fixed. How awesome! No more slow downs and no more crazy rebooting!

I like my laptop too much, I cringed when the bf mentioned that he should get me a new laptop for this yr, since I've had this 1 for 3 yrs. hehe.
