yeap..christia ns wedding are just as lame. went to one and the preacher went on and on and on preaching the bride and groom that after the ceremony, almost half of the guest went home..i guess everyone felt obligated to stay during the ceremony so no one budge.

and why is it that hmong christians are the first to go home after a ceremony?? don't they stay to eat dinner, dance or mingle with the other guests??

Not all Christian weddings are like that.  But I do agree some tend to drag on way too long, however, I see that more with the CMA churches only.  I was a brides maid at one awhile back and the pastor went on for what seemed like hours.  I could see that all of the grooms men and brides maids were getting tired standing up there cause we were all shifting from one leg to another.  I know my legs was starting to fall asleep.  The bride and groom were sitting down so they were lucky.

So you wanna go with a tradition simply because the elders did it right? Pretty elaborate thinking you've got going there for ya. Goodluck getting a second wife and don't forget to treat your women like shit. That's Hmong tradition.

Learn to evolve and trust me, my daughters won't go near FOBs like you. Thanks.
a ooooo k,  u do ameslika..i do Hmoob...you happy,  I is happy.  I is no like yu dogters anyvays.

Now, what gives you the idea that Hmong tradition is all about mistreating women?  Maybe you're in the Hmoob ruam clan...Need to put a stop on your ingnorant mind.

Hmoob Ruam are those with leprosy. Hmong pple don't want their kids to marry into those families. I know one family here that my grandfather knew their great grandfather had it and when my cousin married their daughter my grandfather went ccrraaazzyy and my cousin was mad that my grandfather was MTT... Turns out the daughter is taking something for leprosy. lol
