Why did they want to use the heart for spiritual ceremonies in the first place? Why not some other parts of the animal body, e.g. feet, head, wings, etc.?

What's the story behind the Lee and spleen thing? I know that only some Lee's cannot eat the spleen. Yet I don't know what happens to those who are not allowed to eat it after they have eaten it.

Yang men just need to stay away from hearts period. As far as liver or gizzards go, I've never heard of such.

ditto.  .. the ones who believe strongly dont even eat lub plawv tsawb (banana flower) .. cos in hmong they consider that the "heart" of the banana too ..
