Should I have apologize to this kado neighbor guy?
« on: November 03, 2010, 12:45:33 AM »
I been watching some horrific crime stories involving kado (blacks) guys as the killers and they can be surprisingly ruthless and unpredictable.  So this one night at around 9:30 pm, this new kado guy--who I've never met before or recognize--just moved into our neighbor a few houses down from ours came knocking at our door.  He looked like one of them older street thugs, who probably does drug and was just stopping by for no good reason, so I as opened the inside door to see who it is, I just shut the door on him and didn't even bothered to see what he wanted.

A week later I was out at the garage, he came out introduced himself and started talking to me...turns out he was kind a upset about the encounter and wanted me to apologized to him or something.  I didn't know it was him, until he mentioned he had came knocking at our door one nite but somebody just shut the door on him, right then I was thinking to myself oops, so that was you ...but I also didn't want to admit that it was me who did that to him, so I just pretended like I don't recalled anything about the incident.  And I just told him, next time if you want to stop by for something don't come knocking so late at night like that, it's better if you come during the day.  Then he wasn't too happy about it, and started talking about how the neighborhood is all quiet and good and somehow got into how we shouldn't stereotype and jugded people blah blah....howeve r we ended our conversation on good terms and gotten to know each other, even though I didn't apologized to him.

I guess maybe I should have admitted it and apologized to him, but I feel like it wasn't all my fault because he should have known better not to come knocking on our door that late either, the fact that we've never even met each other before.  I don't want to be opening the door at that time of nite to some kado or who ever I don't kno, he might force himself in and slash my throat for the few dollars I have in my wallet.

You can be the judge of your question, honestly, because you are the one who has to deal with this person, not us.

anyways, isnt it weird....that blacks, gangsters of any race, drug dealers of any race.....they get to know you and they seem to want to protect their turf/territory...but at the same time they are also destroying it just as quickly.

gang/drug dealers thoughts: "i know Raheem, my neighbor, last week someone tried breaking into his house and I came out my house to help Raheem. The robbers ran off after they saw me. this is my block and my good friend Raheem." and so: " but i will sell crack to the crackhead hoe at the end of the block, in front of her kids and in front of my house"

the hmong gangster: "I will go do traditional stuff with my family. bow down at weddings and listen to the elders. but i will shoot & kill my enemy in front of innocent women and children at the tournaments"

yea.....rock on society...remi nds me of this dude named the_Altighty

All you could've said was, I'm sorry.  As soon as I didn't recognize you, I shut the door.  If I knew you were a neighbor, than I would've said hi.  I though you were a telemarketer.

:)

Usually when someone knocks on my door, I have my pistol in full view so when they see it, they know I mean business.  You'll be able to tell right off the bat when they see the pistol of what their intentions could've been.

At least you recognized your biases.

And at least you have some decency to feel sorry afterward.

You should tell your kaydoo neighbor that he should be thankful you didn't put a hole in his head for being black and knocking on your door soo late in the evening hours.   O0

true, I was kind a freighten of them after watching a couple of crime show investigation involving Kadoos as the killers.

Here's just one that I saw....these two adult kadoo guys were desperate for money so they went and knocked on this white couple's door and forced themselves inside, robbed them, tied them up along with their 6 and 7 year old kids in the basement and decided to slashed everyone's throat, including the two little kids. :o

You can never predict what desperate people is capable of doing to you for little gain.

Well just shutting the door was rude. Instead, you could've spoken in Hmong to him and pretended like you don't speak English.

I don't even want to take the chance of him or them forcing themselves inside.  I don't even want to give them a chance at all, that's why i decided to just shut the door so they would just go esle where instead.

Um...then ofcourse he would feel that way. I would just apologize and say that he scared you since you have seen him before.

if you need your gun just to answer the door, you really just need to move out of that neighborhood

That's ok, we've already talked and we're on good terms and understanding now.

Just say you are sorry.  You didn't know he was a neighbor and that it was your policy not to open door to strangers.   It costs you nothing to say that.

i think what you said just shows how small minded you are. which is sorta sad.

for future reference... don't watch zombie movies... you might start getting really dumb ideas.
