You don't, but you can always double or nothing.  That's saying if that's all you have to offer a more lucrative bet.

I guess I will just have to make another bet with the devil. This time I'll be ready to take him down. And then, we'll call it even. Lol

The devil is the subconcious ID impulses that dictate your primitive instinctive drives against your Ego and Superego (right and wrong/angel side).  It is the other bad you doing the things against your own morals.  I made a bet with my evil self not to pick up coke again because of the caffiene and sugar contents, and it kept on winning.  Still can't kick the habit! LOL
