the adaptability of the Hmong
« on: January 10, 2011, 04:23:40 AM »
while browsing some youtube vids this late night, somehow i ended up viewing vids of Hmong in Australia and it got me thinking

our people are pretty darn adaptable...we've got Hmong in hot places, cold places, places with little or no Hmong community, and somehow, they manage to adapt and prosper

from the US to Canada, from China to Australia, from French Guinea to maybe even Siberia, whereever the winds have blown them to, they have made a life there

though i've been embarassed by the actions of my people on a few occasions, there's a certain amount of pride in knowing that you come from a line of tough, resilient SOBs

rock on, Hmong of the world

Night gathers, and now my watch begins
It shall not end until my death
I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children
I shall wear no crowns and win no glory
I shall live and die at my post
...
I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come
