I found this article to be very informative.  Can someone verify it's accuracy?

i read this article many years ago and i was laughingto myself after reading it....some of the information are correct...but some are off....however, there i sno way of proving it right/wrong becasue they are just stories.

i am talking about the "origin" of the qeej.  the author implies that qeej is from xeemxais...gue ss what, xeemxais is  a laotion leader, not a mong leader...in response to this xeemxais as the creator of qeej, i have made a video to asnwer where the qeej came from, from a mong's perspective... not a laotion perspective.

Everyone has their own story of the origin of qeej. My master told it differently.  Since then I heard different stories from different masters. Really who cares...

yes, everyone has their own creation story...but please, ignore those that has to do with "god" or "saub" or those that has no "mongness" to them.  mong qeej, i believe, is truly invented by mong...and by non-god entities...

the reason why i believe the story in youtube is because, mong music has 8 tones..but 4 of them can be reduced to 2...thus this fit all the rest of the instrument, having 6 pitches.  the reason why i do not believe in the xeemxais story is because laotion qeej has more than 6 pipes (pitches)...thus pointing to a newer version of the qeej.
