yes, nws lawm dab laug...my mom's a Xiong. My parents always get invites to his children's weddings and various parties he hosts in Michigan. He also came here for my grandmother's funeral this past summer too. Last weekend she stopped at another dab laug's house and he mentioned that NS was requested to be one of the txiv xaiv for GVP, but I kinda had my doubts b/c like Reporter said...there's gotta be a good handful of good txiv xaiv in Cali already.

are you related to him as well?

was able to listen to a few in the beginning then the satellite feed went out late in the night. i will compile what i have and what little my bnl recorded.

the txiv xaiv was very interesting. none of which i've heard in a regular funeral. the words, fit from a 'king' to his people.

Not the best voice, very subjective though and since he's old, but much much wisdom in his words.  Good choice by the family.

Neng Sho did the txiv xaiv for my mother in law's funeral.  I like the way he does it where the people my age can understand what he is saying.  He sure knows how to make you cry.   Too bad I missed his for gvp's.  Is there a recording of it where I can see it?  Also, one of the other guy that did thing for gvp was the guy that the hub and them had come out to do my father in law's funeral this past December.

I "heard" this Hmong Xiong guy in MI may be one of the txiv xaiv as well. He's sort of related to us and I never knew he was a txiv xaiv until my niece told me that Colorado people always have him go down there whenever there's a funeral. I guess we'll see....

yes he did.... I saw Choua's pictures she put up from his dad's funeral and I told her that I had just saw him at your FIL's funeral in Michigan too b/c his dad's funeral was the weekend before your FIL's. Did you know he also did your niam tais' too? Choua says the people there like his voice and how he conveys the messages, that's why they always fly him out there.

So the guy w/ him @ GVP was the txiv xaiv at your FIL's?  I thought he looked familiar!
