Hmong Next Leader
« on: February 10, 2011, 04:29:16 PM »
Hmong New Leader after GN. Vang Pao.

Neej Tswb Vaj was name for a temporary leader of the Hmong people.
And the real King will be Nuj Tsim, VP youngest son.

No you idiot, Neej Tswb Vaj was named temprory leader for their family. Within each clan there are different sets of families who each have a leader, known in our community as your clan leaders. Your family one one, my family has one.

And quoting yourself to get bumped to the top? Don't be so desperate.

Thanks for clarifying ;D I know, on that night his sons all introduced themselves and after Chu made his speech to the crowd how he's the one to represent his family, but will still meet  and talk with anybody from the hmong communities who has any concerns.. anxious people started calling into those conference hotlines and down to Fresno to their funeral committee, making mindless comments and bashes about his family already. Stupid and judgemental how some hmong people can be when they don't even know his family, likely from those type of hmongs who never appreciated their dad VP and just couldn't wait to jump at the chance to attack his family.

There won't be a next leader for the Hmong.....  no one can replace GVP, his leadership, his skills, his mindset, his love for his people and his vision.   O0

haha, another Vang?

Now you know why the democracy-loving U.S. Army denied VP's body at Arlington's cemetery, huh?

Some people I swear.

Neej Tswb clearly stated after 6:25 that "Now that father is gone they have placed me in a temporary position to answer any of your questions regarding the future of our people. Should one day someone rise to the occassion and lead our people, I would gladly give up my seat to support them."

It's one of his sons.

If that's the case, aren't we dealing with Dictatorship and Communism instead of democracy where the people elect?

listen to the radio or watch that hmongtv thing, people are laughing at this idea of him proclaiming during the funeral.  Not to be mean or anything but that's just the word on the street.  Let's all watch it play out.

You guys need to listen to his whole speech and not be too harsh. No, none of his sons will ever match their dad VP but.. HE IS NOT SELF-PROCLAIMING HIMSELF AS THE LEADER AT ALL.

A lot of Hmong people are like this: "I go my way, you go your way, I hate your ideals, you are not the boss of me". And you wonder why hmong people don't have a country afterall? Yet there are those unpatriotic type of people who hate the American govt, hate their black neighbors, their Catholic professor, hate that he has a nice sooped up Teg, or segragate themselves because they refuse to step out of the box.

I give up. Maybe another day I will feel better and come back and make better sense with my petty comments too.

apples do not just ripe overnight, same as leadership. chu is a great guy so all his sons but they have not done much for the hmong community for the past 35 years. we all love gvp, we respect his family but not as leader as gvp. the next hmong leader will no longer coming from that side of the family however, glad that chu is stepping up to be a leader for his family.

Like the promise with America. The U.S. promised that if Laos fell the Hmong would be allowed to come to America to build ourselves; the Hmong understood that to mean America would take care of the Hmong in every way. :2funny:

A cultural expert told me that.

:2funny: there was a big misunderstandi ng there..they're talking about a family representative not a leader for the whole hmong community....

GVP's son is not the NEW leader.

By default, because he is GVP's son, he becomes the head of the family, and takes the responsibiliti es of filling GVP's shoes.

Only the people can choose who will lead the Hmong community as a whole.

It will be awhile before somebody new is able to achieve KING status.

Any new leaders in the Hmong community will simply be POLITICAL leaders.

If a new person emerges who earns the respect of GVP's family and the people, GVP's family will past the torch to that person.

That's the job of GVP's eldest son. To past the torch on when the time is right.

Who knows, maybe he will earn his father's title.

Ask not what "Jesus" would do, but what GVP would do. You are not "Jewish" and the "Jewish God" does NOT exist. Christians started the wars in IndoChina, then they left you to die. It was GVP that finally gave you RIGHTS to be HUMAN.
