Riding season is just right around the corner
« on: March 02, 2011, 09:50:32 AM »
My throttle hand is getting restless. So who where chances it and takes their bikes out while there is still a bit of snow on the roads? Last week I was tempted, most of the snow melted on the roads but there were still enough patches on every road to worry a little bit.

Damn, heard ppl were out last weekend cause all the snow is off the roads around here already. It's still too cold though and I don't have cold weather gear unfortunately so I'll have to wait till it at least hits 40-50 degrees out.

Not really. Sure raining weather is less secure regardless if one ride, drive or fly but It's all about being prepare, understanding the condition(s) and lots of common sense. When my girl and I rode to Canada 2-up, it was windy, rainy, and/or snowy  most of the trip after the California/Oregon state line but no problem what so ever.

I know it's not for everyone but Plenty of riders (myself included) ride year round even when it rains. Probably explains why there are so many rain gear vendors for motorcyclists.
