Milwaukee police are looking for the parents or guardian of a young girl abandoned at a McDonald's restaurant on the city's south side.

Authorities say the two-year-old girl was left at McDonald's on Milwaukee near south side Sunday afternoon. The child was left in the restaurant for several hours before someone called police.

Surveillance video from inside the restaurant doesn't show her in the company of anyone. Police say identifying the toddler is difficult because she doesn't talk. She spent the night with a foster family.

Police say the girl is of Asian descent, possibly Hmong, is about 2 1/2 feet tall and 30 pounds. She was wearing a pink and black hooded jacket, pink sweat pants and white shoes.

Police are asking for your help to find her parents. If you have any information about this little girl's identity, please call 414-935-7402.

Ok, this is tooo much.  Hmong are becoming like the mainstream now.  Careless parents. Why the girl wouldn't talk?  :knuppel2:  She looks very, very 99.999% Hmong ancestry.

Sh00T! she can be my daughter.

Truly a sign of HMONG without their LEADER!

Looks like she's born in the U.S. Why not use her finger prints and track her real name and then find out which hospital she was born in and then who her mom is?

It seems the parents have been identified and are being interviewed to find out what happened. My question is, as parents, how do they not know she is missing, and if they did, why was the cops not notified upon realizing she was gone? If my child went missing, I would have contacted all friends/families to confirm no one had him/her. And upon confirming no one did, I would have contacted authorities immediately. It shouldn't have taken an evening, night and morning to find out who the parents were.

Some families take too much time with one another or with some other activities they've forgotten about their children.

Update: Missing Parents Located
By Erik Bilstad
Story Created: Mar 7, 2011
Story Updated: Mar 7, 2011
MILWAUKEE - The parents of a 2-year-old girl, found at a McDonald's, have been located, authorities said Monday.
The family and approximately 10 children were having a family gathering at the McDonald's on Potter Street Sunday afternoon.
The child was inadvertently left behind, police said.
The large, extended family lives in a two-level duplex.  When they arrived home, the children scattered and went to bed.
In the morning, the child's aunt saw her photo on television and called the girl's mother.  The mother called police and explained what happened.
The child wasn't hurt and is said to be in good condition.  Police will likely forward the case to the District Attorney's office for review.
