Lis Ceeb??

I heard on HmongTV that Lis Ceeb wants to start an import export to bring Hmong products from overseas to America and wants Hmong to buy only those Hmong products unless the Hmong products does not exist.

My question is what do we Hmong American get?
How does it help the Hmong community?

That is his problem.  He has no compelling reason for the community to pitch in.

If the profit is used for the community, I think there is a chance of the community getting involve.

What are the products? If there's a market for it then nobody has to be asked to buy.

The products are to be basic Hmong food: rice, etc...  The problem is the Hmong merchants may be competing against the business proposal.  They need Hmong merchants to stock the products and the merchants don't want products that don't sell.

If Hmong people can get in on the action for distributing and selling back to their own Hmong people, I'm all for it. Of course, I'm not savvy with this kind of industry to really advise.

As I mentioned on the other thread, if the community has no state in the action it won't work.

If VP's son, Chue, can appoint himself to be in charge of all of the Hmong and the Hmong are obligated, then Lis Ceeb can force all of the Hmong to buy Hmong products. And we all can appoint ourselves are leaders of the Hmong, correct?

Wrong country.  Chue can appoint himself but will people follow.  He has no stick power.  Lis Ceeb has no stick either.  The both can use the carrot though.  The problem is do they know how to use the carrot.

It's not the community's responsibility . The accountability is up to the savvy businessman. If it's a product consumed by the Hmong then the business person need only know how to price and distribute.

Quite true, but he wants to present it as an economic development for the Hmong.  If he does that the community must have a state in the enterprise.

I'm sure those are less than before.  Many of the people attending VP's funeral did it for solodarity purpose only.

Before VP's passing, they called all the Vangs to contribute in getting a house in Clovis for him and very few contributed.  The days of heredity are over.

its a good idea to help out the hmong people overseas...

but i dont see how the idea will circulate... if anything it would only further support the oversea countries...

right now it is best to buy american...
