neat freak and picky people

... the idea of living with people who likes to be clean and neat is nice, but when they nagged and bittched about every little thing, like if you forget to unplugged the toaster.

yes, my exgf who is viet was a neat freak....our home was clean!! and I mean...CLEAN!...no dishes were ever in the sink, no clothes laying around....bed was made every morning...hous e didnt smell after deep frying...batht ub shined like glass.....i am also neat, pretty darn neat actually...but i dont nag if someone comes over and leaves a mess.

I am also picky, pretty darn picky actually...

but, if u forget to unplug the toaster, thats not a neat issue, thats an electric bill issue LOL  ...Many americans are starting to unplug appliances every night. leaving it plugged in does use energy.

I despise being in a trashed up or unkept home.     Personally, I like having a clean place.  Just keeping things in order, that's all.  Have some standards, I say.

im only a neat, picky, and organized person when i have to do something...

my friend, when he eats, his napkin always end up nicely folded into a square... and this was when we were 10 years old... while my napkin always ended up being rolled into a ball...

heck yeah we need to be neat freaks..you're living a nice 300-500k homes ..bust your ass off getting it too why not appreciate it..if you want cockroaches running around your food on the table and ants everywhere around your home with spider webs, stained carpets of dog shiet, baby pouring milk on couches and carpets, greasy stove and ovens ..hit the projects and apartments where all the other folks are at..trashes of bed, couches, trees stumps dump on the side of the road...

Some of you folks are misunderstandi ng the Op's definition of a neat freak. He's talking about a phobia here.

I can't stand neat freaks cause I'm not one. I'm not a slob but here and there I may tend to forget to pick up after myself. Also my room is my business so no nagging is allowed. i do like to keep the common area's clean and clutter free.

Being a Neat Freak myself...i think it's a lot easier to live with a neat freak but it's 100x harder to live with people who doesn't clean after themselves, don't make their bed every morning, pick up their dirty clothes, or just a lazy person who only shower once a few days.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be neat. I much rather prefer to be around a neat freak than a slob as I like to be neat myself, but you can't win them all. So, if you can't beat them, why not join them.

I wouldn't pick up after himself. You allow him to get away with it.
