in comparison of when one of your own parents were/are to pass away...

you find yourself lost, confused, depressed, stressed, emotionally withdrawn, etc...my point is, the hmong people will continue to grieve for GVP...especial ly when they've lived their entire life hoping and waiting for a miracle to happen...which the miracle was to have a country again...but, what country?... :2funny: because if the hmong people can't even get along and unite--they might as well find a different culture/belief to continue to thrive into...

anywho, i was just saying that the hmong people need to slowly move forward and understand that GVP isn't a god, but just as human as they are...they also have their future set ahead for them, unless their kids are fawked up individuals who are all locked up in prison and they really really really really have no one else to turn to... :idiot2: :idiot2: :idiot2:...then they may be looking elsewhere for a leader...

i'm not trying to offend anyone about gvp...so don't even try to argue because i do respect the man as a "man"... ;) ;) ;)

It's all about trust. Anyone can argue otherwise but you can not lead if you do not have the trust of the people. Like here in America, we hate the Republicans or the Democrats, but we still look to whoever is in power to keep us safe. A good leader and a good government is one that earns the trust of the people and keeps it.

Every community needs a leader, when a bunch of people gather together there is naturaly going to be a leader that emerges. The fact that we don't need one is far-fetched. The next leader is going to be the one who bears our burden and earns our trust. I gurantee most of us will be kissing at his feet if he can achieve the two.

The people's needs: hope, ego, belonging, economic, protection, etc...  ultimately the majority will need economic assistance.  Whoever can provide economic assistance will be the new leader.

You're right about being able to provide. Right now, no one is willing to step up to the plate. As far as economic assistance goes, Hmong people have no such things. Thus, such aids will bare no fruit...

If this uncle can demonstrate his leadership within his own clan/family, I believe he can make a good leader. What Hmong people need now most is knowledge and the desire for independence.  Anyone wanting to be a leader and looking up to the US government is the last thing anyone is going to support. You either help yourself, your people first or not at all...
