According to the U.N. Cuba
« on: April 14, 2011, 10:25:56 AM »
According to the U.N. Cuba has a more superior health care system compare to the United States. Their infant mortality rate is lower than the United States and their life expectancy is higher than the United States.

Regardless of what people say, you have to be super impressed with the Cuban health care system. Cuba is a little third world country that the U.S. has been trying to crush for decades whether through backed-invasions or economic blockade and embargo (which is still going on to this very day) but the Cubans and Cuba is just like the energizer bunny...they just kept going and going and going.

My observation is that it's easier to lead a nation where the people have the same belief system, operate with the same mentality, share the same values, and are cut from the same cloth.

Just ask anybody who's ever been in a leadership position and they'll agree.

Less people makes it easier too.

Then places like Laos and Cambodia and the small countries of Africa would have the best health care system in the world. ::)

You're right and I understand what you're saying, but even today, most people don't realize that Cuba is a very diverse country when it comes to race. I just want to quote something that General Moises Sio Wong of the Cuban army said as it pertains to what you say (Yes, the General is a Cuban of Chinese ancestry):

"What happens in Iraq wouldn't happen in Cuba. Our people are not divided. And here our generals can't be bought, as happened in Iraq. Open a Swiss bank account and buy off the generals. The troops don't fight."

But you have to remember that countries like Cuba are like country clubs, they will purge anybody who doesn't fit or should I say "doesn't want to fit". Other countries are trying to do that, too, but the bad publicity they get slows them down from becoming great in a superficial way.

Especially when there are no outside instigators.

Outsiders can't accomplish anything if there aren't complaints from the inside.

Yeah that's why I said it makes it easier too. But in case you are a little slow, I'll fill in with the obvious, other factors are obviously required.

Hey, I'm not the one who's waiting outside the parking lot of General Vang Pao's funeral with a gun to kill those who had offended the General.

I didn't say other countries aren't doing it. I said "other" countries are doing it, too, but their efforts are slowed down by bad publicity.

Thats how outsiders works...

Then it's the job of those on the inside to work things out or cut their losses.
