Who is Sivyis?

Who is Sivyis?  I've heard this name mentioned before, but don't know much about him.  Thanks.

There are a couple of stories who he is, but all the storytellers agree that he was the first person to combat the evils and calamities that sprang forth from the devil egg. In the version that I heard he was just an ordinary person. SivYis and another person traveled to the land of the Dragon to learn the skills of the qeej. When calamity struck, SivYis was called back from the land of the Dragons and sent to the land of the Pa-la-Si to learn how to deal with the children of the devil egg. It is from here that the original shaman is born.

They are stories so I cannot say exactly if it is an alternate realm or a transpiration on earth. In the version I know, he is taught by the Palasi.

Yes, I am Hmong.  But it doesn't define a person's character, integrity or belief.  It just simply defines an individual race or group of belonging.

What's the purpose of animal sacrafice in Shaman practice?  I'm wondering why Sivyis had to sacrafice a chicken for??

You're welcome. One doesn't have to believe in it if they've changed religions but still, learning about who he was can enlighten you and help you better understand the old ways and why some Hmong people still practice Shamanism.

It wasn't havean that turn Shaman King oldest son spirit into animal that the
Shaman King used. It was the Demon King that did. Because each time the Demo King
make someone sick, Shaman King curse it. For so many years that the Demo King spread
sickness to Human world he didn't success of catching anyone spirit to be his servant.

So one day the Demon King made one of the rich family daughter get sick. The family
come and ask for help from the Shaman King. This time the ceremony required a pig. Not
knowing that the Demon King already caught his oldest son spirit and turn it into a pig
that the Shaman King using to cure the rich daughter. After the pig was kill and cook,
when he took the first bite on the pig meat, he got chock. Knowling something is not
right so he left for home.

At the crosss he met the Demon King. The Demon King greet him and said, you such powerful
shaman everytime I put sickness to someone you always cure but this you fail. The shaman
reply whatever you did to the the family I already cured them. Demon King replied back
look into your bag see what's in there. The Shaman King look inside his bag, it was the
pig head instead his oldest son head.

The two kings when into battle for seven days and seven nights no one win both of them
equal in power, but tired and hungry. The Shaman King morph into a mouse form run into rat
hole to hide and rest. Demon King morph into a cat form and guard the enterance and said I will
eat you when come out and wait here to see how long you going to be in there. Shaman king again morph
into a catapillar and come. The Demon King thought it was the mouse that drove of the catapillar from
the hole. So Demon King the captapillar go not knowing it was the Shaman King.

The Shaman King went home and eat. Seeing his lay dead, he couldn't control himself, he has to return
and get revenge. He went back to the same place luckly the cat still there, but this time portrail himself
as a farmer. So he said to the cat, thank you cat for guarding the rat hole. These mouses are so bad that
they eating away my vegetable. You must be hungry here I got some food for you. As the cat eating and let
his guard down. Shaman King quickly cover up the cat into his bag and tie it up. The shaman king told
the Demon King that you are so smart but now I got you inside bag and you dead.

For the dead of his son, he so mad and angry, he smash the bag so hard onto the ground and kill the cat.
Blood, Bone, cat shiiit spread all over. The Demon King last words said, every drop of my blood, piece of
bone, and drop of my shiiit will be come a demon. These demon will spread all over the human world and
will attack any human they see. Now Shaman King along can not defeat all the newly create demons.

Shaman King when home dissappionted. After the funeral of his son, he decided go back to heaven with
his family. Half way to heaven, he breaks his equipments into million pieces and spread around the
human world. He said to Demon King even you reborn into many demons and spread sickness into the
human world. With my equipments spread around the world. Each piece of my equip will create a shaman and
will battle with your demon. Each human who become a shaman will be as good as I am.

So until these days the battle still continue.

that is why these days there's too many demons around because of the blood, shiiit, and bone of the demon king.
