Good motivation! Go for it!
If only the elders would go to school and learn music stuff, then I wouldn't have so much problem on the Xim Xaus...
I know. And it's incredible how they have been able to make such beautiful music without music notes. But it should be fun for you to try to do it. A great challenge, I'd say.
I love Hmong music, but I don't like dead music....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEE95ys6y3MThis should inspire everybody to be proud that we have a fun culture of music. I wish some day that I can teach Hmong music in a College place for Asian Culture. I am studying piano right now and trying to convert lub ximxaus music kwv txhiaj rau peb hmoob kawm. It would be easier for all Hmong folks to read music instead of ear training.Just imagine, Hmong orchestra with Hmong music (Hmong Instruments) with European instruments. That would cool!
hmong qeej has instructions too ..muaj ntiv qeej..if you master cov ntiv qeej it's as simple as playing piano..piano is easy to learn..tsis nyuaj npaum guitar and other string musical instruments.
I could play Joe Hisaishi's music. Right now, I am trying to play Ennio Morricone, but he is hard to find when I am trying to download his musical pieces online for free.
What pieces do you need from Morricone? I can help you.
