I saw this...

While traveling in the Caucasus, I saw this embroidered piece in a national museum. While I know most patterns are universal, I thought the resemblance was interesting.

I once argued with a Yao lady on the hills of Thailand over an embroidery that looked Hmong in origin, too. She claimed it was Yao and I disputed that. I told her it was Hmong...then I realized "darn, we all make similar things...and we make things similar..."

While traveling in the Caucasus, I saw this embroidered piece in a national museum. While I know most patterns are universal, I thought the resemblance was interesting.
