what would you call them? whites!
it pains me that you do not understand the concept of the clan system, and rather dwell on the english spelling of hmong names. if such is the case, the english spelling names like TOU, BEE, MAI, SAI, YER, PAO, SENG are all INCORRECT according to YOU. Tou is the english phonetic equivalent of TUB, bee is NPIS and ESPECIALLY yer is NTXHAWG. english has a different spelling and phonetic from hmong, therefor it can't be pronouced to the exact tone.
are you saying that as a LO, you will marry a LOR and use the excuse that your english last name is without the "R" and that would make it OK? <<-- this is the reason why you posted this thread. am I Right?
Whoa? WTF? Where did this come from? What your pointing out at has nothing to do with my understanding of the clan system. Make no mistake. LOR's claim to be Hmong Lauj's and we all know that. My point is LOR's is more likely a misconcepted spelling and does not sound like "Lauj" yet it is accepted by some. Why accept something that sounds off? Would you accept someone prounouncing your name wrong? This is NOT THE SAME THING AS A FIRST NAME BUDDY. Your logic is flawed. This is not a racial issue. Having a certain sounding last name does not automatically make you white, black, green, yellow or a monkey. Nor is this about you wanting to marry people with the same last names?

That entirely is a different topic left alone. Whites are not grouped in clans like Hmong people even if they have the same last name. You can have a black Larson, White Larson, in my case I knew an Asian dude in school who's last name was Larson cause his dad is white and his Mom is Asian and he looked totally Asian. There is no relation there except the pronounce of the name.
The sounding of LOR does not go well with the likes of Lo, Lau, Lauj, or what ever in my point. In short you dont pronounce a "Va or Vang" as Var or Vanger do you? It does not sound like the clan name. That is my point. To me that is estranged. I have no hate for people who use the LOR as their last name. Just a wonder why they feel ok with it sounding off of the actual clan name pronunciation. If you cant understand that then well it PAINS me to say boo hoo to you for starting a complete off topic.
