Should you still contact your ex while you're dating

Personally, I think once you break up with someone, no more contact is the best and most healthiest for your new relationship.  There's a line somewhere that you must draw to say that you do respect your new bf/gf to not do certain things even if your new bf/gf approves of you to do it.

First of all, I don't believe in communications with the ex period. Unless you have some legal ties, such as children. In which case, the discussion should strictly be about the children and their well-being.

Secondly, if you have to communicate secretly, there is a problem! If you have to second guess or question whether it is right or wrong, it is most definitely wrong!

No matter how bumpy your ride is while you're still in present 2 year relationship, should you still be contacting or talking to your ex from a couple years ago secretly? is it right or wrong for the other spouse?

If you're still dating, it's all fair game. However, the only person you'll be hurting is yourself. There is a reason why that person is called, "THE EX". It might be a good idea to leave the past behind and move on.
