Church v.s Old Hmong ways.
« on: August 16, 2011, 03:47:36 PM »
Now I heard a lot of stuff about the new Hmong ways and the old Hmong ways. Go to church, believe in GOD or do the old ways. You see.. What I see is that, at the end of every... RAINBOW... We are still  Hmong. Why do we hate each other so much? Old Ways New Ways.. We are all related. Why must we use that or have that to blind us. You know ppl that goes to church hate'n ppl who don't go, vise versa. Or you kill this animal for that so we church ppl will not eat with you or vise versa.

Heck the way I see it... Meat is meat. If I'mma hungry, heck yeah I'll eat what ever you ppl cook..LOL
Tell what are some of the true reasons as to why we hate'n on one another because of our belief..

AGREED!

I go to church but I do have to say that ALOT of the "rules" are made of feelings/thoughts rather then for the best of interest of the christians.  A church said that if you marry someone and they don't come and ask at home (instead of stealing) the church will not participate in the wedding (having the pastor marry the couple).  Low and behold the daughter of the pastor got married and the church participated! O0

I eat and help my family no matter what religion!
You see it all in your head.LOL  ]

Going into someones house and asking for the hand in marriage is more for RESPECT of the parents. In the olden ways.. that's how the OG got their wife/ your mom. By stealing the ladies. But in the end they still have to do the wedding.( drinking get drunk, passing out, pee'n all over yourself cause you couldn't open your fly fast enough, LOL ect.)
Church ppl do not attend stuff like that. but we are all relatives, yet we do not attend such events cause of your beliefs. Come on ppl. The old ways are the root of our life. I had a cousin who is now a church person, and he act as though we are the devil. WTF. He grew up knowing the old ways. I don't hate ppl because of their religions, I  only hate ppl who do evil stuff, like back stabbing you or robing their own Hmong ppl. WTF

They want to feel special and the top brass want to control so they make it restrictive.

The division will always be there..

Even if you become educated and tolerant of people of different religion.

a belief is like a characteristic of ones self... if anyone put down your characteristic s, then you will be offended... and people also like to flaunt their characteristic s...

"thats a ugly hat you got there... my hat is cooler..."

Tell me what are some of the true reasons as to why we hate'n on one another because of our belief..

people think their beliefs make them better than you...

people think your way is wrong and their way is the right way...

people make fun of your beliefs...

once i had to drop off an elderly relative to her church, helped her carry some stuff inside, and the hmong pastor came up to me... he hooked one of his fingers around the string on my wrist and said, "you still wear this?"... i looked at the cross around his neck and lold inside...

if id had taken the path of a christian, i would of hooked my hand around his cross and said, "hey this jesus guy's penis is clearly shown on your cross... you dont kiss it with an open mouth do you?..."

but nawww... such is not my way...

I think that who ever that pastor was, he was not a server of GOD. A true pastor will never touch you, or commented the way he did to you. A true child of GOD will thank you for helping the elder. Who ever he was, was a DEVIL in a sheep's' outfit.

Many hmong pastors are very much worse than whites. They are extremely judgmental and feel they are superior. I think most of them have so inferiority complex.

What evil-in-deed says is right on.

I think it's just ignorance and once you understand both, old and new, you will find that the concept behind the belief is pretty much the same as in any religion.

In honestly speaking, God, non church ppl. This is the age of Doctors and med. God is the spirit of the soul, jingle bell is the spirit of the soul also. Both ways are the same. Instead of 1 pastor non church has many. Lol. All i'm saying is it was the old ways that has brought us all to here. We must not hate one another. Look do you see ameeka hate one another because of what their beliefs are?. Ask your self that ?

well.. as far as i see, half of these hmong people that goes to church are hippocrates just because they are going the new way, they tend to look down at us stupidly. don't mean to judge nobody here or their belief. this is just what i see happening between church goer and non church goer. I have no problem at all with hmong people going to church. im still shaman, but i believe there is a god somewhere up there looking down on everyone. just gotta do whats right in this world. After all our ancestor was shamanism. so nobody can ever denied it or say they dislike hmong people who are still shaman. It will go out this ear to the other. we are all hmong and had always been shamanism people. gotta face the fact like it or not :'(

In America, everyone has the right to believe what they want to believe in.  Believing in something is better than no believing in anything at all.  But you just have to have respect other people's beliefs.  Simple as that!
