People making dumb mistakes over love?

Why are Hmong women/men making such drastic mistakes in life here in America? When it comes to "love" they have no clue what's going to come their way. I think a lot of 1st generation parents have no idea what their kids are doing in school, on the playground, and in life. They just let them run wild like how they used to back in Laos or Thailand. That explains how kids and teens get into trouble, sex, drugs, and become runaways.

But what baffles me the most is when i see hmong women/men who are highly educated or have a lot going on for them in life make the dumbest mistake and that's usually in the "love" department. They either marry someone who is NOT on their same level or let their emotions get the best of them and go with whomever makes them happy "at the moment".....

I wonder if it's the way they were brought up?

Agree with the OP. Hmong are out of touch with reality. They are looking for romantic love, hollywood style.  Wheneve I see Hmong couple getting married, I shake my head. Most of the time.

i don't think it is just love...it's combination of lacking in experiences and stupidity. i remember my first relationship, i told myself that i would never be that type of person but i did became that person and did alot of stupid things for love. we live and learned from our mistakes. what i don't get are those who keeps making the same mistakes again and again.

You live and learn. Love comes in so many forms. It's for you to define what love means to you.

My man and future lover does not exist on PH. (heck I don't even need a man) PH is where all the psycho exs or guys you use to talk to and now want nothing to do with lurk and come to stalk you, the safest place is staying offline and out of PH!

Well, sometimes.. they want someone who they can control too. Someone who is less educated might be more attending to their needs. I don't know...but I guess love make all of us vwm vwm.

I'm not sure why folks are so caught up in other people's actions rather than their own.  Unless it's a personal situation involving yourself then you need not worry about what these people are doing with their lives.  So what if they make dumb mistakes when they're infatuated or in love.  That is their lesson to learn.  Sometimes rationality is tossed out the window when emotions run high with havoc. I help those who want to help themselves. 

I'd still give you a positive karma point because you care a lot about the general public.
