question, am i allow tol date her?

Make it short,

She was born a Yang but her mom remarried to a Lee is it okay to date her since I'm also a Lee?  :'( btw she uses her Yang last name not Lee.

even if she was born a Yang, do you know her.... Kind of like you meeting  Korean with the last name Lee. Or a Chinese named Yang, would it be ok then?

Are you asking me? Anyways I'll just answer, she's a random girl I hooked up with and I don't know her step dad's Lee side.

I don't think you can because she was raised by the Lee father and that makes her a Lee also.

According to Hmong traditions, you can't date or marry her. Sure, her biological father was a Yang, but she's also part of Lee too since she grew up in Lee family and eat with them. If she has Lee siblings, then it's a no-no for sure. You're like her half-brother. I am in the same boat too. I'm a Lao and eat and grew up with my Lao family. My parents got divorced and my mom remarried a Xiong guy. I have Xiong half siblings. In my case, I cannot marry a Lao or a Xiong.

Well... it would be awkward for you in the long run.  Let's just look at it this way.  If you date her and some day you two get married, you are the "vauv" to her father, but also a Lee.
