He's still in his late 30's, he talks and appears like he's pretty normal but he's not capable of supporting himself due to lack of will, efforts, intelligence. He has no education, no highschool diploma, he's also sort of pychologically impair.  He holds no concept of working to make a living or to support himself and solely just depend on others like family members.  For him the task of finding a job and support himself is as difficult as anyone of us going to the moon and coming back.

Such a person probably have a severe SCHIZOID PERSONALITY DISORDER causing an amotivational syndrome.   If he is evaluated by a psychiatrist to find that he does have this order, then it is clear that he can be nonfunctional in society, and should qualify for benefits.

When he goes out to drink with friends and is somewhat drunk or pretty drunk, he comes home and talks to himself, more like bittching and swearing to himself all the time. :idiot2:

If this only happens from the alcohol, then it is alcoholic induced pyschosis.  If it happens without alcohol...then it can be schizophrenia; which have many subtypes.  Best he sees a psychiatrist.

He has no concept of working, finding a job and motivating himself to be better, cuz he is living off of family members that's why.
And his family lets him do it too, so the cycle continues.
It just sounds like this person needs some push to move forward. I don't think this person needs to apply for govt benefits because once you on.... you become dependent. And when you become dependent, this raises my taxes! One less person on govt benefits = one less $ I gotta pay.

It's his parents's fault, they never try to hit him or lecture him or kick him out of the house for once. Now he's 30 and hard headed. So, just support him to the fullest. :)

Sounds like a real drain on the family and like someone else said, the only thing he qualifies for is homelessness. Still, have him checked out by a professional. I hope the answer isn't to just put him on welfare.

1.  The only person that can diagnose your sanity is your own self.   Here is a simple route to get qualified.

Go to any alley and start taking off your clothing.  Someone will call the police about a nude person in public.  When the police ask you questions, talk like you have a disability.  The police will ship your ass to a psycho ward for evaluation and will send out a missing person report to the local news.

When in the ward, start acting crazy like stand in a corner for hours.

- What this does it is gives you some paper documentation for your evaluation.  You take that paperwork and you file for your disability.  You do not need to see a doctor.  All you need is the right lawyer who specialized in cases like these and he will do all the docs for you.  It is the new law that passed a few years back, haven't you heard?

SSI Fraud, we are coming for you next.
