Eastvale man to be arraigned today for attempting to kill girlfriend

RIVERSIDE - A man accused of trying to kill his girlfriend during an argument at their Eastvale home is slated to be arraigned today.

Chue Vue, 23, could face more than 25 years in prison if convicted of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and corporal injury on a spouse or domestic partner, along with multiple great bodily injury allegations, in the Aug. 29 attack.

The defendant remains held in lieu of $1 million bail at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.

Vue, who recently immigrated from Laos, allegedly attacked his girlfriend, who was not identified, during a domestic squabble inside their residence at 6040 Fairlane Ave., according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's Sgt. Jim Erickson alleged the woman was beaten about the head by the defendant, suffering major physical trauma. Neighbors intervened and restrained Vue until deputies arrived and took him into custody, Erickson said.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

An Eastvale man who allegedly almost killed his girlfriend before witnesses came to the woman's aid was behind bars Tuesday.

Chue Vue, 23, was arrested around 11:15 p.m. Monday at his residence according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Vue, a Laotian immigrant, allegedly attacked his girlfriend, whose identity was not released, during a domestic squabble, said sheriff's Sgt. Jim Erickson.

He said the suspect's neighbors restrained Vue after he allegedly hit the woman, causing "severe head trauma."

The woman was rushed to a Riverside hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Vue was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of attempted murder, with bail set at $1 million.

the guy's on a $1 million bail! the guys from laos need to understand that they can't just kill their wife and get away with it.  good luck in prison - no english and you're a small asian man..oh man!

From what I heard from people who know them both, he was someone she was shacking with.  He stay home and took care of her children while she's out working and clubbing.  She also slept around with many other married men in St. Paul.  The guy was mad because she refused to stop trashing around so he hit her.  This is very common in St. Paul.  I mean Hmong girls and married women going clubbing and getting drunk and then taking men to do them at home.  Too many drug users and alcoholics everywhere.  So yucky!!!

From what I heard she was a divorcee with a black kid. Her parents made her go marry this guy from Laos.  She claim he was gay and all thru the marriage they didnt sleep together.  Whatever made him bash her brains out i dont know but if u aint happy just leave.  Its not worth the time
