It's the same steaming for stick rice. With a bit of difference stlye.

Not to boost myself, but making rice the old way, taste so much better then the elec. One

I agree. Making rice on the stove tastes and smells way better than in an electric rice cooker.  :)

I don't really eat rice, maybe once or twice a week, (2/3 oz) but I steam cook the rice for my husband.  He's the only one who eats rice regularly, so I'll put the rice in the refrigerator, and reheat a sufficient amount of rice each meal on the steamer.

I stored away the electric rice cookers (4 & 10 cup)....but he takes it out whenever I'm out of town.

What if you fell in love or she gets pregnant?  Then you're doomed, you'll be cooking most of the meals.

My husband and I barely eat rice. We probably go through like 4lbs every 3 months. When we do make it we make it the quick way. However, I do agree, the old way taste so much better. I still cook it that way at big gatherings because you can make more at a time.

I'll do whatever I can for the one I love. Don't matter. They say real men can cook, you haven't tasted this man's cooking yet.
