now i don't mean to or try'n to debate you on this.
I grew up in the hood, seing my parents on welfare. As a child i don't see the future. I see a bunch of kids that are growing up in the same hood as i once did, and said, my gosh. We hmong need to get out of the hood so that our kids can have a better future. You can say that some have better. And some are still in the same spot as they were 10+years ago.
Think about it chirstmas kids got more toys then what they can do. Shoot i got nothing when i was growing up.
That's why I said that even in the USA (Don't have to be in Laos/Thailand), some people still have more than others. Some are still struggling. So, can you say that they've been spoil? I don't think so. I grew up in the ghetto as well and we were poor too. We never get any present or never been to Mcdonald. I didn't even get to eat pizza or mcdonald until years and years later. Heck, I heard about it but didn't even know what it was. We were not spoil on clothes, foods, or materialistic things. Majority of my clothes are from the thrift. So, while some can claim that they've been pretty much spoiled.. I would have to say that some of us are not.
Now, if you are talking about technology wise like toilet, running water, stove and etc. Then "YES" we are because now we don't have to get up early to go fetch our water and then still have to come and blow on the stove to get the fire going. We now have electricity where we can just switch on/off instantly.
