To a brother in-law, you are right for success, you need a strategy that can be carried out.  A strategy that has been tested, therefore, you'll have full faith.  Even though, your strategy is for drinking, the idea can be transplanted into other areas.

I have to keep my expectations in check, so we both do not get hurt.  Something I thought I could overcome in the prior relationship, but can't.  I have to take my foot off the gas pedal for awhile.

Solution, thanks to talking with my friend Sleepless is to lower the expectation to a 2.5.

Happiness = Reality - Expectations of Reality

Thus Happiness = 2 - 2.5  = -.5, which a lot more bearable than -6.5.  Thank God for the Happiness equation to make help make sense of it all, when I am confused.

Now I am more at peace, but then her Happiness equation maybe a mess.
