The hacked/cracked software will always lead to malware/virus infections in the future, because you won't receive support for patches, etc.  If you can afford to get it legit, do that instead.

Check your workplace (if you work) to see if they have an agreement with Microsoft for the Home Use Program.  I got my MS Office 2010 Professional Plus for $9.95 digital download, but tacked on a few more dollars and got the DVD version shipped straight from Redmond's vendor, Digital River.  If you're a Machead, you can get MS Office 2011 (click on "Other Products").  I still haven't installed MS Office 2010, though, because I'm perfectly content with my previous $9.95 purchase for MS Office 2007.  I just bought it in case I ever needed it... but I'm not "technically" allowed to transfer it to anyone else.

actually currently microsoft took off the "not letting pirated copy update" for their office product so you CAN get updates on your pirated version
