But I've met conservatives and Republicans who seriously believe that Stephen Colbert is a conservative/Republican and on their side.

Well, maybe the conservatives and Republicans are right. I mean you can't get any more conservative than what Stephen Colbert has to say below. In the Video, Stephen Colbert is paying tribute to his hero, George W. Bush in person as he talked some old-fashioned conservative values at the White House Press Corps Dinner.
