TSA agent urges `get your freak on’
Ever wonder what TSA agents are thinking as they pick through your luggage? Here’s a clue from the TSA blog …
Earlier this week, a passenger found a highly inappropriate note scrawled on a “Notice of Inspection” that TSA places in checked bags if they are required to be searched. … The handwritten note was highly inappropriate and unprofessional, and TSA has zero tolerance for this type of behavior.
The offending TSA agent is being disciplined … not fired? … for commenting on a female passenger’s personal item. That passenger Tweeted about the invasion of privacy on her TwitPic stream (click here.) As you can see, on a TSA inspection card are the words “Get your freak on girl.” I guess the agent couldn’t help but comment on what he was seeing, as the TSA admits.
As we wrote this week, security at airports leaves a lot to be desired.
The TSA deserves credit for having a blog and using it to out an agent who crossed the line. But are they going far enough? Maybe the TSA in general should get its freak on.
UPDATE: The TSA worker is being fired, according to the agency. Here’s an update from the TSA blog …
