If you are in the Twin Cities, they will broadcast this on Nov 29 at 9pm on TPT2 channel. It was on Comcast last month but its over now.

I recommend it. I saw it last year at the Twin Cities Asian American film festival. It's an interesting piece.

I had never heard of that before. But it should be interesting to see what facts the program airs.

Here is a small clip on youtube.

Overall, I thought the film was fair. It wasn’t all about Chai Vang being a brutal heartless murderer or that the white people are the only victims in this situation. I think the film makers really tried to keep it open for the viewers. You should really try to catch it when it airs on Twin Cities Public Television in a few weeks.

It’s been out for a year and it was showcased at the MN Asian American Film Festival last November, in the last year it’s been shown across the country and won some awards. But I don’t think there is much “buzz” around it.

You know, at the time the whole Chai Vang incident happened… I really didn’t care too much. I felt sorry for the families of the victims and that was it (I still feel sorry for them). But…after watching the documentary, I understood a little more. It was the first time I felt sorry for Chai Vang.

Oh, yeah, he's my hero for the Hmong hunters.   We know it's wrong to kill 6 people with any reason.  We also know we rather see 6 died and gone noticed then one Hmong dead gone unnoticed.  This will remind all people to not automatically be racially anger with guns.

I sympathize with the deaths. But I wish those White hunters hadn't initiated the violence and continued to provoke him. And I encourage them to discontinue to bully Hmong hunters in that manner or in any manner at all. Our short old Hmong hunters were once CIA's most cherished soldiers, fully trained in military weapons in Thailand and on the hills of Laos. The Pentagon and West Point know: for these guys, losing is not an option, and they know how to go about winning with guns, too.
