I agree. A degree can make you more economically viable but that's it. Intelligence is something else. They are just confused. Their ego gets huge because of how much Hmong community also value the degree.

its so very true. this person has no social skills. from the time i've known her, she has not been in a relationship at all. always complains of having no money or very little especially when we all get together...

well personally for me I like someone who has an education (mind you I don't have a masters or phD but maybe one day I will). I don't think I'm better than anyone per se, but I can tell the difference in interests and when we conversate. You just can't quite reach the level of connection you seek. I do know some ppl who do have entirely big heads from their higher education (Dr.s are notorious for this) but you know, I guess they earned it. Higher education is hard to achieve and if someone is proud of their accomplishment s, who are we to detract from it? I guess i could compare it to....say people who are divorced or have kids - if I don't have kids or been married, I'd rather find someone similar. It's just one of those personal preferences, to each his own.

All all people are like that.  You can the same able any kind of people.  There will always be some bad eggs.  But not all will be the same.

Well, they need something to feel about themselves, don't they?

I used to believe that everyone should strive for higher education. However, as I got older I realized that higher education is not for everyone and that's ok.

As long as you're happy and taking care of what you need to, that's all that matters.
