Death penalty just took two men.

How about softening up the penalty on even harsh crimes like these?


Reginald Brooks, 66 years old--The first man to be put to death by the death penalty in Ohio on 11/15/11.
Ohio just revived the death penalty. Brooks had killed 3 of his sons and got convicted.


Guadalupe Esparza, 46 years old--The 13th man to be put to death by the death penalty in Texas on 11/16/11. He was convicted of raping and strangling a 7-year-old girl.

Hmmm...I didn't realize Ohio was one of the death penalty states. One of my professors who is from Texas has been part of death penalty by shooting. It's quite the experience that changes you as a human being.

R- my professor was one of the sharp shooters.  he said there's like 5 shooters but only one has the real bullet and the others shoot blanks so the burden of taking someone's life isn't that harsh.  none of the 5 know who has the real bullet.

i don't think it's necessarily about fun games.  he said that before when there was only one shooter, the impact on the individual was emotionally draining for whatever reason plus threats etc.....so over the years they implemented the policy to have more than one shooter to lessen the impact on the shooter.....so mething like that.

as a parent (1 month and a 3 yr) if you can do that to my child, yes i will eat you alive then put a bullet in your head, and that is getting off easy.

But isn't the government playing with the prison? Like he gets to feel anxious and thrilled and then maybe he feels lucky if the first four didn't fire a real bullet? Etc.?
