I stumbled upon this page.  Thought I share.  The material is poorly put but the story could be true.  See for yourself.

I tried to verify the authenticity of this case with my wife's families from around the Av Liab area. It was said that the parents were constantly out gold digging leaving this boy and his sister home alone. It was also said that the "company" started out with sacrificial animals like chicken, pigs, cows, etc. until they decided to use humans. While these kids were home alone and out playing, They've wandered around and the boy was kidnapped by the chinese. The boy ended up being the sacrificial "animal". The girl told the parents and they along with the laotion police went looking for the boy and ended up at the place where the boy was sacrificed. There was a room that the Chinese didn't want them to go into and claimed that it was sacred to the Chinese. This was only to mask the officials and the parents until they can move the body elsewhere. They moved the body and instead of moving it to another place, they took his body and dumped it at some trash place. That is where the boy's body was recovered.

Per the people in Av Liab, the boys parents were afraid of pressing charges on the Chinese due to fear of the Chinese knowing black magic. That was the end of that case.....

This is what was told to me while trying to authenticate this incident. I can't say it is true or not. It's just what's been told to me.

It's stupid that the government is allowing Chinese to come and steal their natural resources.  The parents need to stop believing in black magic.  They need to stop being prisoners of superstitions.  The real fear is that the Chinese may harm them if the parents press charge.  The Chineses have money and they could just buy the officials to not do anything about it.

It's true that chinese and Hmong can use people to "txis" a certain area so that it remains haunted/controlled so others don't get to it.  This is actually practiced by the rich.  I've heard too many stories.

Now as to this actual case...it's hard to tell but very sad indeed.  That boy do not deserve it.

Nope.  Collectively is unwise but individually is very smart.

This article is as upsetting as the slaughter of our people in the jungles.  Damn all those Laos and Chinese.

I see that their enticement is irresistible and persuasive, you three are already convinced without additional information.
