Neither scenario is ideal for a boyfriend who may end up being your husband and head of your household.  First case is classic cheater.  Second is indecisive bum.

Sometimes we also give mix messages ourselves, that is why we get mixed signals in return.

because Indian smoke signals are hard to figure out. back then they didn't have telephones so they would build a fire and used it as signals to warn their other tribes of trouble but sometimes the signals get all mixed up and the other tribes thinks that they're going to throw a huge bomb diggdy paaaaaaaaartaa ay.

that's why the telephone was invented.
