Where are the pictures of 1900 Hmong chinese on this site
« on: December 12, 2011, 01:56:29 AM »
I remembered I saw some old hmong chinese pictures during the french indochina war.  These hmongs have pig tails and old pictures of hmong.  I can't find them anywhere.  Can some post the link up.  I remembered I was reading the hmong history then saw it a few years back, but now can't find it to show my old man.  If you guys can find it then thanks.

Yeah, but it was influenced by the Machus.  Even the chinese were forced to have pig tails. Where are those pictures.

Hugo Adolf Bernatzik's book "Akha und Meau Probleme der angewandten Völkerkunde in Hinterindien" has some nice photographs of Hmong people from early 20th century as well.
