that's because Hmong parents, from the older generations, never played in the same playground as we did when we, or I, played with the black and white kids in my/our younger years... I don't recall playing with mexican kids... but let me tell you, I can smell a white person or a black person from a mile away. I won't say otherwise, but I judge each on a case by case basis, if at all, as individuals and by sense. I just met some Hispanics several years back and they seem to be fairly good, down to Earth people. never mind the Hmong elders, it's a major culture clash or whatever when we see it from their POV, but don't blame them either. it's up to us to leverage that in our favor or against us. when I go out in my everyday routines, I want to see many more Asians; but that won't happen, less I'm in Asia, we just gotta share this part of the world with many other people, trust me, I have a few American Indian friends or natives that look me in my eyes and can say "Hello brother." without even saying the words.
