I stopped going to the HNY about a year ago. I find the price of food ridiculous.

What about food at amusement parks? at any county fair?  Aren't those prices more ridiculous for such a small portion?  I think you get a bargain for the price you pay for food at any HNY then those other places.

if i was a true Laotian, i would sue lao family for misrepresentat ion...because everyone there is hmong. so lao family should really be named hmong family and hmong new year should be named hmong festival.

BOYCOTT BOTH NEW YEARS.  IF IT IS TWO NEW YEARS, IT IS NO NEW YEAR.  I  HAVE NOT SEEN OTHER RIGHT-MINDED CULTURE DO IT LIKE THE HMONG.

My ANCESTORS TOLD ME WE GATHER ONLY ONCE A YEAR.  HMONG AMERICA FORGOT THEIR ROOTS.

Why kick the OG out when the younger generation doesn't want to step up but just attend n enjoy the festivities.

I'm just a cheap thrill for the moment. When time is low, i'm the most affordable thing out there. When time is flying high, i'm not what you want.

Food at county fairs is not as common as what you get at the HNY's.  Chicken/sausage/pork and rice and papaya can be had anytime here in MN, but the cost for chicken/sausage/pork with rice is way too high.  Super unhealthy, too. :P

Stop the b.s. bro.  These corrupted greedy OG's never gave younger generation chances to better the event.  If they did it was only their close tie relatives who lacked knowledge, experience.  I've lived in Fresno for the last 30 years and all my suggestions went on deaf ears.  All of the so- called boards, presidents, VP of the 2 organizations must be abolish and let the people elect its new committee for changes.  This year the one on the Fairground has gone incorporated which means it's a business for itself or shall I say Txam Charlie Vang.  The 18 clan collected some money last year for purchase of future properties to be Hmong town or hosting new year.  However, they gave it to a homeless, opium addict Ntaj Dang Vang and over $100,000 were lost at his hands.  Go take a look at their board representative s and you got a whole bunch of SSI recipients who has no education whatsoever.  I'm a bit harsh because I'm fed up!!
